Use the Course Info page to collect all the normal administrative information about the course.
If you happen to already have this information elsewhere online, you probably want to just type in the web address of the page, rather than repeating all the information again here. Similarly, if you have it in e.g. a PDF file, why not just use 'Attach File' and add it to this page?
You'll probably want to lock this page so that students don't modify it (see the option underneath the text box in the 'Edit this Page' screen). But you may stil want to allow them to post to this page, in case they have questions about any of the administrative material.
